The density of the population determines the amount of product shipped

The USA, like Canada, has its particular demographics that determine shipping patterns. Trade within the 26 states east of the Mississippi is the most highly concentrated, with Texas and California closely following. The U.S. trucking community is more regional than national in nature. This is one of the many reasons why DVL adds the critical element of traffic coordination and communication to enhance performance within inter-state markets.
